I have used this coffeepot for the past 2 years, and it makes as good a cup of coffee as I have ever had. I do not buy special coffee. The reason the coffee is so good, is because it has come to the boiling point, which does not happen in a drip coffee maker. I have learned that I like a heaped tablespoon of grounds per mug of coffee. I use my coffee mug to measure my water, 2 full mugs full. Then I put 2 very heaped tablespoons of grounds in, and percolate it 5 minutes. The percolator is holding up well, and it looks like it has many more years left in it.
