Cake drums are normally around 1.5cm thick and are made from compressed, sterilised sawdust with wrapped edges and a white paper underside.
Designed primarily for heavier cakes, such as rich fruit cakes, offering the strongest and safest type of board.
Cake drums are made in round square, heart, hexagon, oval and petal shapes. Very strong and very safe they minimise any movement of icing and are therefore perfect for wedding cakes.
